Like many people, I’ve had my own challenges along the way.

Those experiences shaped how I see work, people, and responsibility & they’re a big part of why I care about building things properly and treating people fairly.
 

Through McCarthy Web Studio, I set aside time each year to support individuals, charities, and small organisations doing meaningful work in their communities. This might be through reduced-cost or pro bono website support, technical guidance, or helping someone get a project off the ground when resources are tight.
 

I don’t see this as charity, I see it as balance. Not everyone has the same starting point, and sometimes the right support at the right time can make a real difference.
 

Giving back is built into how I work, not added on for show.
No big announcements, no conditions — just doing what I can, where it genuinely helps.
